The History

925 Sports began as an idea during the spring of 2020, a time when the COVID-19 pandemic had brought school, sports, and recreational activities to a halt, leaving many kids stuck at home. LaMont saw an opportunity to make a difference and took action by working with and training youth athletes from pre-K to seventh grade. From outdoor courts to indoor gyms, the program offered activities that developed athletic skills and fostered personal growth and resilience. This passion for impacting and helping youth became the driving force behind 925 Sports. The vision is shared by Pastors Nathan and Joie Miller of Champion Christian Center, who recognize sports as a powerful tool to reach all ages and demographics. Together, they believe there’s no better way to connect with the next generation than through the universal language of sports.
